Efficient conservation farming approach which has been promoted by DGVS in the last couple of years. DGVS is working with the communities to build climate resilience in agriculture by promoting various sustainable farming practices. Our “Farmer Field Schools” are educational hubs that disseminate information and build adaptive capacities of farmers on low-cost, eco-friendly farming techniques. DGVS has worked in various projects in agriculture with Government and Foreign Funders which are:-
DASP:
The principal objectives of the Uttar Pradesh Diversified Agricultural Support Project are to increase agricultural productivity, to promote private sector development, and to improve rural infrastructure. There are six project components. The first, support for technology development, enhances capacity for research coordination; establishes a competitive agricultural research program (CARP) to support time bound adaptive research on priority constraints, increases productivity of the smallholder agriculture; and strengthens researchsupport for technology dissemination activities. The second establishes a demand-driven technology dissemination system through rationalizing, reorienting, and strengthening line departments; increases participation by the private sector in input supply and support services; increases participation by the farming communities mobilized with the help of nongovernmental organizations; and supports human resource development and greater use of information technology. The third supports increased private sector involvement and public/private partnerships in agri-business development. The fourth supports rural infrastructure development by improving rural roads in the project districts, rural markets, and market information collection and dissemination systems. The fifth supports a project management and enhanced capacity for economic policy analysis while the sixth supports a project preparation facility. DASP project implies grassroots level planning through preparation of Strategic Research and Extension Plan (SREP) of each district, involving Bottom-up approach by giving emphasis to farming systems. One of the most important components of the project’s execution is Participatory Management Involving local NGOs to motivate farmers to adopt diversification in process of agriculture in a cooperative way. DGVS involved in the process of facilitation for technology dissemination and credit mobilization to farmers, especially to small and marginal farmers operating in different agro-ecological situations. DGVS also involved in value addition activities for communities through various other interventions.

BHOOMI SUDHAR:-
The mission of preserving the health and productivity of land resources in a sustainable manner, and to protect, rehabilitate, and regenerate all potentially cultivable lands was a prime most motive of DGVS. In this project DGVS helped farmers to improve the land fertility. In it farmers were informed about how the land turns sodic in nature and also how can it be used after treating it. Project also deals with water management along with its exit from fields. Farmers are informed about hybrids and are told to use better farm techniques. Along with it project also deals with the environment and its management.Water recharging ways are also told. The development objective of the project is to increase agricultural productivity in selected areas of degraded lands in UP. The objective will be achieved through reversal of water-induced land degradation, enhancement of soil fertility and improved provision of agricultural support services. It aims to sustainably reverse the process of land degradation and fertility loss, thus enhancing agricultural productivity. By focusing on the reclamation of land for the poorest section of farmers, the project is expected to contribute significantly to poverty alleviation and improved food/nutrition security in the project areas. It is expected to
have favourable impacts on the income of farmers and improve the profitability of farm production by enhancing local-level capacities for production as per the market demand and provide post-production support for value-adding activities to enable producers to access non-traditional markets. The project will also help towards closing the “productivity gap” in agriculture in the state by improving extension to promote new agricultural technologies and agronomic practices.
